Editorial Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-27
This policy governs everything CapitalWire publishes, so readers can hold us to a written standard.
1. Sourcing
- We prioritise primary sources: central-bank statements, exchange and official settlement data, statistical agencies, regulatory filings and company reports.
- Secondary reporting is attributed by name.
- Every quantitative claim carries a source and a date, listed in the Sources block at the foot of the article.
2. Fact-checking & review
- Every article is read by an editor before publication; the responsible desk is named in the article.
- Market data and statistics are cross-checked against the primary source at time of publication.
3. Corrections
- Substantive errors are corrected promptly with a dated note.
- Correction requests go to corrections@infornkn.com and are logged on our corrections page.
4. Conflicts of interest
- Contributors disclose financial holdings or commercial relationships relevant to what they cover.
- Staff do not trade on information obtained before publication.
- Sponsored content is labelled and produced outside the newsroom.
5. Use of automation and AI
- Human accountability. A named human editor reviews, edits and approves every article before publication. Machine output is never published unsupervised.
- Fact-checking stands. Figures, quotes and attributions are verified against primary sources regardless of how a draft was produced.
- No fabricated material. We do not publish invented quotes, statistics or events. Illustrative figures are labelled and excluded from reporting.
- No scaled low-value publishing. We do not mass-produce near-identical articles to target search rankings.
6. Independence from search engines
We write for readers, not algorithms. Headlines reflect what the article contains; we do not publish keyword-stuffed or misleadingly framed copy.
7. Accountability
